| Basic Instructor Certification
3 days, 30 hours
The Basic Physical Defense classes are taught by instructors throughout the
United States
and
Canada
who have successfully completed the required training, and have maintained their certifications.
Criteria for admission to the R.A.D. Basic Instructor Training course
Any woman who has a desire to share valuable self
defense information
Any male law enforcement officer
Any male who has a recommendation from a rape
crisis center/women's resource center and provides
written authorization
Any male martial artist who has a written recommendation from an active R.A.D. Instructor

Upcoming Basic Instructor's Courses
The University of California, San Diego Women’s Center will be hosting a 30 hour Basic Instructor Certification course in January 2004! R.A.D. is the strongest self defense network in the country. The course meets or exceeds all guidelines for choosing a self defense program, prepared by the National Coalition Against Sexual Assault (NCASA). Programs are taught at over 450 university police departments, municipal police and sheriff departments, local transit companies, military bases, women’s centers, and independents across the United States. At this time there are over 4000 instructors certified nationwide

Cancellation Policy: Refunds will not be permitted for cancellations made within 10 days of the program start. However, credit will be made toward any another Basic Instructor Program. If the program is cancelled, a full refund of tuition will be given. Male substitutions are not permitted for female registrants without prior permission of the primary instructor. Cancellations are subject to a 20% processing fee.
